Other Mothers: Meri Cherry, Process Artist and Founder of Family Art Studio Play Make Create.
Managing the work-family juggle with a growth mindset, running a brick and mortar, parenting teenagers, the power of repair, radical self-care in challenging times, and so much more.
Meri Cherry is a process artist, author, and founder of Los Angeles-based family art studio Play Make Create (and the online Play Make Create Academy for process art teachers!), as well as mother to two teenagers. I’ve followed Meri and her art studio for years online, and I heavily relied on her team’s projects and art kits for my kids during the pandemic. I’ve always admired Meri’s authentic presence, her passion for approaching the process of art and life with a growth mindset, and the way in which she leans into advocacy and other activities that ground her and bring her joy. You’ll find all of that in our conversation.
